The Martial Art School - Nottingham was founded in 2003 by Sensei Ilja Hoffmann, who is one of the highest graded martial arts instructors in Nottingham area. With over twenty years of experience and black belt levels reached in martial arts such as Judo, Ju-Jutsu and Budo Taijutsu (Ninjutsu), he is undoubtedly one of the finest around.

For the first three and a half years our school was based on Dakeyne Street, where we closely cooperated with the team of the Portland Judo Club. In January 2007 we moved then to our new location and are now situated within the premises of the Bushido MMA Academy - Top Floor in Alfred House, Ashley Street off Carlton Road.

Being located only a few minutes away from the Nottingham city center, our school can easily be reached by public transport. Visitors, who are traveling by car, will find an adequate number of parking spaces along the building. Our facility is professionally equipped and provides e.g. a large permanent matted area, a box ring, punch bags, a small gym as well as a multi function room and a treatment room for Sports Massage and Sports Therapy. We offer a large variety of martial arts such as Budo Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, Boxing, Judo, Ju-Jutsu and Mixed Martial Arts as well as Personal Training, Self-Defence and Fitness.
